Eric Hattenberg, Joe Cassidy, Our Diva, Betty Semel, and Harry Van
Betty Semel, originally from Brooklyn, began her singing career by starting an all female doo wop acappella group called StreetHeart in 1998. They worked for 10 years opening up for some of the biggest acts on the doo wop circuit. They have 2 CD's out which are still available if you desire.
Betty is the lead singer and alternate second tenor of Sidestreet! She does all the familiar doowop songs and lots of "girl songs", including The Ronettes, The Chantels and the like. She also does R&B since it's been added to the Sidestreet repertoire.
She and her husband Harry Vandenberg reside in NJ and in FL.
Harry Van "Hoboken Harry" started singing doo wop in the 1960's. He was the founding member of The Gold Tones and is an original member of Echoes of Time. He is also a former member of Grand Central Echoes.
Currently he is a founding member of Sidestreet, singing first tenor.
Eric Hattenberg "The Doo Wop Kid" began his musical career at an early age under the influence of his father, Rich. Eric has had the pleasure of performing with such artists as Johnny Maestro, The Duprees, The Dubs, The Happenings, and The Goodfellas. He was also a member of the Frankie Valli tribute group, The Jersey Four, performing various harmony roles and vocal arrangements. Eric is a member of Sky's the Limit and also sings with Joel Katz and The Dynamics as a Baritone/Bass singer.
He is the baritone and the bass (or as we call it - the bassitone) for Sidestreet and he works magic with his engineering talent as our musical arranger.
